The client, a leading brand in life-science equipment, sought to explore innovative solutions for lab documentation, considering its potential to enhance reproducibility and efficiency in scientific processes like drug discovery.
A key challenge identified was the incompleteness of lab experiment documentation. Scientists, often struggle to take detailed notes due to the need to maintain sterility and keep their hands free during experiments.
Through the validation phase, the team confirmed that voice interaction offers an ideal solution, enabling hands-free, real-time information recording.
I joined the founding team from day one, helping shape both the team culture and ways of working. The venture grew from a team of 5 to a team of 30+, I was working closely with Product, Tech and Customer Success.
Being one of the first joiner, I have been able to have a deep impact on the project, from team culture to product strategy.
Validated feasibility, desirability, and feature prioritisation for the MVP by delivering and testing a working prototype in two labs after just six weeks.
Strengthened psychological safety and open feedback culture across product and design teams by facilitating regular, structured critique sessions. The format was later showcased as a best practice to BCG DV’s global design leadership.
Onboarded 20+ users and 4 pilot organisations to the tool.
